This Sunday morning,
I came home at 5am. That rarely happens.
This was also the morning my mom and cousin were going to Turku. They were still asleep when I got home. So, finally in bed, I closed my eyes hoping that I'd fall asleep before they'd wake up.
I did. Then, suddenly, my mom pinches my toe.
"Your dad just saved a life"
I jump up, walked over to my cousin. She was standing by the window. I see a young man. He's got two out of four security guards holding him up. He cant stand on his own.
They were just outside, even though the window was closed I could hear them talk. One of the guards was trying to ask him questions.
"What have you been taking?"
"Nothing, nothing..."
He could hardly talk.
"I've just smoked some marijuana."
While I'm standing. looking out the window, my mom lets me in on what have happened.
Many things that happen, I think happen for a reason. It wasn't his time, just yet.
My parents just moved here 3 weeks ago. In the same area as before, but now they live very close to the Sandsborg's metrostation. The trains literally run outside the window and I can easily see the minutes for next trains arrival.
This Sunday morning,
My dad got up at 5.30. Since he was going to drive my mom and cousin to the harbour he'd set the clock at this early hour. He was just about to load the coffee machine as he sees something laying on the train track outside. He wasn't sure of what he saw, so he calls mom in to the kitchen as he puts his shoes on.
He approaches the lady working in the window at the sation, letting her know something's wrong. They both walk out and finds the track empty.
But here was a younger man right underneath them. In the little patch.
14 minutes until the next train arrives, my dad starts talking to the man on the track. Stumbling and falling over the man doesn't seem to be aware of where he was. My dad tells him to reach out so that he can pull him up from there. Finally he did and dad pulls him up.
2 minutes and the train arrives at the station.
